Roberto’s Small chat at the local Radio Station

Robert: Good morning gentleman.
Philip: Good morning.
Robert: I’d like to talk with you about yourself. Could you present yourself to our listeners, please?
Philip: Hello! My name is Philip. I’m 29 years old. I’m a bay watch. I work at the beach.
Robert: And what do you really do all day?
Philip: Well, I watch over the beach and rescue people from the sea. My job has got the
purpose of preventing people from getting drowned and, as soon as I take them out of
the sea, I try to maintain them alive until the ambulance arrives and tale them to
hospital. In case I see that someone got himself into a critical situation, other rescue
means such as a helicopter are called to the place. This is my work at sea, in rivers or
swimming-pools.
Robert: Do you have to wear any kind of uniform at work?
Philip: Yes I do. I wear red shorts. And I always carry a red floater tied around my chest by a
long rope when I enter the water to the rescue.
Robert: So, are those your identification marks?
Philip: Yes, but I also carry a red floater tied around my chest by a long rope every time I enter
the water to the rescue. And I usually have a high pole or cabin, the watchman post, to
keep an eye on the water.
Robert: Did you need any specific formation for this job? And do you have any rules to
follow?
Philip: The formation of a life-guard must be complete: you must swim very well, know
breathing techniques and cardiac massage, along with the agility on the rescue actions,
which becomes precious to the second.
Robert: What are your professional prospects? How would you classify them?
Philip: This can almost be considered a hobby because it is only during the bathing season that
our services are employed.
Robert: Your work is even more exciting because you can always be in contact with
beautiful women.
Philip: Oh, yes, that’s right! Very beautiful indeed!
Robert: I hope we’ll meet again, someday. Who knows, maybe at the beach. See you.
Philip: Who knows!... Goodbye.
